The Lowe Art Museum presents BEYOND THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE, a project curated by the Aluna Curatorial Collective that brings together a group of 19 Latin American artist working with sound art and its social intersections.

For the third consecutive year, the Berne-based non-profit organisation art+château its next exhibition of contemporary art in an historic castle. Open until September 25^th, Beyond Baroque is curated by Dr. Valentina Locatelli, with the assistance of Giulia Busetti.

“We live in a world that demands of us clear meanings and pragmatic definitions of things, that wants to possess and that rejects uncertainty. Taking our focus back to poetry allows us to understand that knowing is not synonymous with dominating, but rather with being with, generating interconnectedness and bonding”.

Fantastic Interior is made up of four scenes, interventions that take place throughout the year by four different artists, whose common thread is issues such as intimacy, self-care and the construction of subjectivity. Through the practice of these artists -Ad Minoliti, Marina González Guerreiro, Eva Kot'átková and Korakrit Arunanondchai-, the curator Rafa Barber Cortell invites us to think about the imaginary that has been created around the "inner world".

Independent Curators International (ICI) is now accepting applications for the 2022 Curatorial Research Fellowships, made possible in part by the Marian Goodman Gallery Initiative in honor of the late Okwui Enwezor.

apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1–31, 2021. Five winning proposals will become apexart exhibitions presented at apexart’s NYC space as part of its 2022-23 exhibition season. Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are invited to submit a proposal online.

Guest Curator Elvira Dyangani Ose, Director of The Showroom (London), presents the project ‘Contra la raza’ [Against Race] at Matadero Madrid within the framework of PHotoESPAÑA 2021. This multidisciplinary initiative incorporates a video-based installation and live programme focusing on futuristic imaginaries expressed through poetics of the Black experience that generate new forms of global and egalitarian humanism.

The ACT Programme (Art Career Transformation), founded by Francesca Bellini-Joseph, is an online platform that offers programmes focused on artistic careers. ACT Meets is a series of periodical get-together sessions where the community meets to share ideas, knowledge and questions about the professional aspects of artistic practices. This Thursday, June 17^th, join for a fascinating conversation with Los Angeles-based artist Gala Porras-Kim and London-based curator Sabel Gavaldon about using the art ecosystem’s intricate networks of stakeholders for bringing her projects to life.

This is a call for young curators residing in the Community of Madrid, organized by Sala de Arte Joven. The initiative awards curatorial projects and its main objective is to highlight an overview of current artistic creation to professionals in the sector and the general public. Applications can be submitted until June 11, 2021.

Described by Peter Fischli as “a kaleidoscope of repudiated gestures”, the project explores a series of specific ruptures within the history of painting in the last 150 years, intertwined with the emergence of new social factors and cultural values. The exhibition also intends to understand if the current digital revolution can also cause a new crisis of painting or, on the contrary, contribute to its renewal. Stop Painting is conceived by artist Peter Fischli with more than 110 artworks by international artists on view at the historic palazzo of Ca’ Corner della Regina, Fondazione Prada’s Venetian venue, from 22 May to 21 November 2021.
